Annual Clark Park Canoe and Kayak Fundraiser


The North Branch is beautiful in the September Twilight!!  Come out and experience the natural beauty as the sun sets on Chicago.  Canoe or Kayak with yourself, a partner or your whole family!!  The tour of the North Branch commences as a leisurely paddle or a brisk pace, it is up to you.  Following the one hour canoe or kayak, there is a catered dinner on the river bank and entertainment by a renowned jazz band!!

The evening continues with drawings, a silent auction and prizes throughout the evening. Come out and support your park, your river and the neighborhood amenities which it provides.  See you on September 11th, Sunday at 6PM.

Still Time to Register: Clark Park Twilight Canoe and Kayak Fundraiser

Come out for an evening of paddling in the quiet twilight; enjoy the finest natural scenery and wildlife of the North Branch of the Chicago River. A riverine tour will be conducted by experienced River paddlers, followed by a delicious catered dinner.  (Rain or Shine – If weather is unsafe for kayaking and canoeing, dinner will be held in the scenic WMS Clark Park Boathouse.)  A silent auction and raffle. All to benefit  improvements to the park.

Entertainment provided by the HORNER PARK JAZZ BAND!  

DINNER CATERED BY NOON O KABAB! 

What:  “Twilight Canoe or Kayak” on the North Branch, includes all canoe/kayak equipment and catered dinner.

When: Sunday September 13th, 5:30pm – 9:00 pm

Where: Richard Clark Park- Rockwell and Roscoe (2600 W/3400 N)


Cost:  $55 per person, $25 for child with an adult family member

Thanks to Sara Cudnik and KidsworkChicago for becoming a benefactor of the Clark Park Twilight Canoe Fundraiser this Sunday.  Patrons of the Park really enjoy seeing the kids taking a daily stroll through the park, and the kids love the birds, trees, riverfront and the great Clark Park walking paths! Sara and her team support our goal of building a great playground at Clark Park in the future.

DeVry University becomes a Benefactor of the "Twilight Canoe Fundraiser"

A Big Thank You and Shout Out to DeVry University!!  Thanks to Mr. Antoine Holmes and DeVry University for supporting our efforts at Richard Clark Park.  DeVry has officially become a benefactor of the Clark Park "Twilight Canoe" to be held on September 13th. Please join us for an evening which includes a canoe or kayak ride on the North Branch, followed by a riverside catered dinner.  'Float Away' to the sounds of the Horner Park Jazz Band!   There will be a wine raffle, silent auction and door prizes!

CRF, which is an amazing group of dedicated rowers, staff members, parents, and volunteers has consistently been our reliable partner in making Richard Clark Park a premier Chicago park.

Horner Park Jazz Band to play at Clark Park Fundraiser

The Horner Park Jazz Band will be playing at the Clark Park Fundraiser.  This event will feature canoe or kayak trip on the Chicago river, dinner catered by Noon O' Kabab, a wine raffle and a great auction.  Join us, Sunday, September 13th from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.

Twilight Canoe Fundraiser - A Trip on the River, Dinner and Auction





There's still time to register for the Clark Park Fundraiser on Sunday, September 13th at 5:30 pm. Click on the registration tab to your right.



The evening will start with a peaceful trip kayaking or canoeing up the river.  Dinner will be served at 7pm in the  boathouse. The cargo doors of the boathouse will be up providing a panoramic view of the riverfront as the sun sets on the river.  A live auction and raffle will finish off the night.
